NAY, but consider the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
