Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 running away from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
