Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And used to deny the Day of Justice." 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
