No! By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to humans, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
