Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
