By no means! By the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 From the guilty. 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
