Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
