No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning for people -- 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
