Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
