Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
