Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
