In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned? 1 Verily We! We created man from a sperm of mixtures, that We might prove him, wherefore We made him hearing, seeing. 2 Surely We showed him the Right Path, regardless of whether he chooses to be thankful or unthankful (to his Lord). 3 We have prepared chains, shackles, and flaming fire (for the disbelievers). 4 the righteous shall drink from a cup mixed with the coolness of kafur, 5 A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth. 6 They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. 7 those who, for the love of Him, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, 8 'We feed you only for the Face of God; we desire no recompense from you, no thankfulness; 9 Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. 10 So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy. 11 And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk, 12 Reclining therein on raised thrones, they will see there neither the excessive heat of the sun, nor the excessive bitter cold, (as in Paradise there is no sun and no moon). 13 since its [blissful] shades will come down low over them, and low will hang down its clusters of fruit, most easy to reach. 14 Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them 15 goblets of silver that they have precisely measured. 16 There will they drink a cup flavoured with ginger 17 therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil. 18 ۞ There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. 19 When thou seest, thou wilt see there bliss and high estate. 20 Their raiment will be fine green silk and gold embroidery. Bracelets of silver will they wear. Their Lord will slake their thirst with a pure drink. 21 'See, this is your recompense, your striving is thanked' 22
