(Muhammad), We have revealed the Quran to you in gradual steps. 23 Wherefore persevere thou with the commandment of thy Lord, and obey not thou of them, any sinner or ingrate. 24 and remember the name of your Lord, morning and evening; 25 And prostrate for Him in a part of the night, and proclaim His purity into the long night. 26 Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day. 27 We created them, and We strengthened their joints, but, when We will, We shall indeed exchange their likes. 28 Verily this is an admonition; then whosoever will, may choose a way unto his Lord. 29 But you cannot will it unless God wills [to show you that way] -- God is indeed all-knowing and wise -- 30 He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. 31
