Verily We! it is We Who have revealed unto thee the Qur'an, a gradual revelation. 23 Await, then, in all patience thy Sustainer's judgment, and pay no heed to any of them, who is a wilful sinner or an ingrate; 24 And remember the Name of thy Lord at dawn and in the evening 25 and during some of the night, and prostrate thyself before Him, and extol His limitless glory throughout the long night. 26 Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. 27 It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change. 28 Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way. 29 But you will not desire except as God wills. Verily He is all-knowing and all-wise. 30 He admits to His Mercy whomsoever He pleases. As for the wrong-doers, He has prepared for them a grievous chastisement. 31
