Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
