Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
