Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
