Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
