Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
