Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
