Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
