Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
