Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
