The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
