The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
