The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then he mustered 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
