The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
