He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 For him who does not care, 5 To him you give attention. 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olives and palms 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
