The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
