Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
