The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 The closing night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
