The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
