Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 watching over you 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
