Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
