Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
