▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 and you are watching at that time 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
