Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
