Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
