Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
