Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
