Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
