Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
