Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
