The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, 4 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must: 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand 7 shall be called to an easy accounting, 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 for he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to the truth. 22 But God knows what they harbour in their breasts. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
