The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
