The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
