The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
