The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
