The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
