The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky containing great stars 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
